* what is the research hypothesis?

This will be a written assignment for my doctoral quantitative analysis class regarding ANOVA tests.
Using the attached data perform an ANOVA analysis test and write a work-up focusing on the topics below.
Bob, a resident of a small town in Minnesota, is a data scientist who works remotely. He often performs most of his work at a number of local Starbucks near his house. Recently, Bob noticed that the download speed varied depending on the location of the café. As a curious data scientist, Bob wanted to test his hunch by downloading one gigabyte of data for two weeks in Starbucks located in three towns near his house—Walnut Grove, Mayberry, and Smallville. Use the attached data (“Starbucks and Download Speed”) to analyze the Bob’s findings. (Note: Download speed is measured in the number of seconds it took to download one gig of data. The population is the overall download speed for the three Starbucks. The sample is the number of download times in the three Starbucks for the two weeks.)
* What is the research question? (Be sure to mention the three Starbucks locations specifically here along with what you are measuring them in.)
* What is the null hypothesis?
* What is the research hypothesis? (Non-Directional)
* Basic descriiptive analysis of the variables used (e.g., mean, median, SD, range, etc.) in a paragraph form along with the SPSS output showing the descriiptive numbers. Be sure to analyze the three Starbucks separately as an aggregate analysis would not be of much use here.
* State the rationale for using analysis of variance (ANOVA) in this investigation using appropriate readings and resources in Module 7. (Please cite specific references.)
* Write out the results in an APA format. (Example attached).
* Please include appropriate tables (as seen in the attached example) from the SPSS output used in your analyses.
I have attached the SPSS output and relevant material to assist answering the specified topics, as well as recommended resources to elaborate on the assignment expectations. Make sure to provide substantial evidence from scholarly resources and refrain from making generalized statements. Textbooks, blogs, magazine or internet articles, book chapters, or special reports, do not count toward scholarly resources.
The powerpoint slides provided come from the class textbook, which should be the primary source used to support your statements (Salkind, N.J. & Frey, B.B. (2020). Statistics for People Who (Think They) Hate Statistics (7th ed.). SAGE Publications, Inc.). Make sure to reference this source when explaining the SPSS data.

If the flight is not overbooked, the airline loses revenue from empty seats, but if too many seats are sold, the airline loses money from the compensation it must pay to the bumped passengers.

American Airlines Flight 171 from New Yorks’ JFP airport to LAX airport in Los Angeles uses an Airbus A321 aircraft with 189 seats available for passengers. American Airlines can overbook by accepting more reservations than there are seats available. If the flight is not overbooked, the airline loses revenue from empty seats, but if too many seats are sold, the airline loses money from the compensation it must pay to the bumped passengers. Assume that there is a 0.0995 probability that a passenger with a reservation will not show up for the flight (based on data from the IBM research paper “Passenger-Based Predictive Modeling of Airline No-Show Rates” by Lawrence, Hong, and Cherrier). Also assume that American Airlines accepts 205 reservations for the 189 seats that are available and that passengers are independent of each other.
Using StatCrunch’s calculators, find the probability that when 205 reservations are accepted for American Airlines Flight 171, there are more passengers showing up than there are seats available. Is the probability of overbooking small enough that it does not happen very often, or does it seem too high so that changes must be made to make it lower?
Use trial and error to find the maximum number of reservations that could be accepted so that the probability of having more passengers than seats is 0.05 or less.
What do you think about this policy of overbooking flights? Is it a good thing, a bad thing, or a little of both? Why do you think that?

Assignment 3
For assignment #3, you will be working with the variables to answer your research question. To begin with, read the Walters, et al. (2020) article. This article provides a good overview of the theory, constructs, and variables associated with the data set.
Next, you will need to identify variables of interest. Use the article, your social work experience, and your data to identify the variables. There is not a correct number of variables. It will depend on your question and your population as to what data will be available to operationalize these constructs.
Finally, you will start your data log. This will be a working document of your study variables. Headings should include original name of variable, rename of variable, original value, recoded value. You will use the data dictionary to document variables as you modify, create, and convert in the upcoming assignment. Also do not forget to keep up with your version control document. For this assignment, please submit the descriiptive statistics to me in a written format and with a frequency table.

NOTE****************
I have attached my Assignment 3 CodeBook—the first bottom tab is the code book. Please be descriiptive. Also, I have attached photos of the exact same layout needed. Also, I gave you the Assignment 2 Assignment Log. It is where you will add everything while following the layout of the pictures. Please use my code book and find the data in the statistics. If you can not find it you are able to make it up, but please please make it all realistic.

Next, you will be generating an additional research question that will lead to a bivariate analysis (aka two variables).

Instructions
For the data management and analysis assignment #4, you will be continue to work with your variables. In this assignment we are going to focus on data cleaning.
If you have not renamed your variables, do that in this assignment. Based on your question, you may need to recode some of your variables, create total scores, remove missing data etc…
Next, you will be generating an additional research question that will lead to a bivariate analysis (aka two variables). Example research questions:
Is there a relationship between years in practice and burnout?
Is there a significant relationship between burnout and job satisfaction?
You should be documenting all these variable changes in your data dictionary and use your version control document (aka data log), when you make data changes such as deleting the missing data.
You also need to run descriiptive statistics. You may have done this in assignment 2 but you will want to re-run them based on the new changes that you made in the your data set. Please submit a written descriiption of the descriiptive statistics.
Grading Guidelines
To receive a grade for this assignment, you will submit your data dictionary, data log and include your research questions on the data log.
NOTE******************************
I have attached my Codebook. Please let me know if you need anything! This needs to be created and either on excel or Word.
