Consider a current, cultural issue that is of interest to you. Describe the media’s influence on that cultural issue or any related cultural dynamics. You may want to think about how much the media influence that dynamic and/or how much the cultural issue influences the media.
Select and arrange typographic and graphic (no photographic or illustrative) visual elements to express opposite, yet parallel, meanings, both visually as well as verbally, for two antonyms. All steps are highly unique to your specific project, therefore problem-solving and critical thinking skills are necessary.
Please view LinkedIn Learning: “Graphic Design Foundations: Typography” with Ina Saltz and “Learning Graphic Design: Set Perfect Text” with John McWade before starting this assignment.
List eight pairs of antonyms (word opposites), like “hot” and “cold,” “tall” and “short,” or “up” and “down,” in a word processing document. Be creative in your choice of antonyms; list unexpected ones for a more impactful portfolio project.
Select the three strongest antonym pairs to develop.
Make a new document in any software program that enables you to work with type (Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.).
Arrange each antonym pair on three separate pages.
Transform, arrange and/or distort the words to express their meanings visually. Use opposite (but parallel) visual language to express the meaning of both words.
Whatever you do to one word to express its meaning visually (changes in scale, color, position, etc.), you must apply the opposite visual treatment to its antonym to express opposite meaning, without introducing treatments not applied to the first word—this is known as parallelism.
Remember, photographs and illustrations are not allowed, but please use type, backgrounds, colors, gradients and effects (like drop shadows).
You may space, scale, rotate, shear, cut and reposition the typographic elements. This step is highly unique to your specific project, therefore problem-solving and critical thinking skills are necessary.
I’ve created two videos to help you understand this assignment. Please pick more challenging antonyms than the ones I’m demonstrating. This video demonstrates Compress/Expand and Increase/Decrease in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint:

This video demonstrates Tall/Short, Hot/Cold and Big/Little in Adobe Illustrator, but the point is I’m demonstrating my thought processes for all the combinations:

Save your files, and export .JPGs or .PDFs. My computer might not have the same fonts as the ones installed on your computer, therefore if you send me a native Microsoft file, I might not see the same image as you’re seeing. Post your first-publish solutions of the list of 8 antonyms and the design of the 3 selected pairs in the Module 3 Discussion Forum (required!) for reciprocal, constructive feedback from classmates and instructor.
Incorporate any changes suggested by your classmates if you feel it will improve your work, and post a revised publish in the Module 4 Discussion Forum, for more reciprocal, constructive feedback.
Incorporate any last-minute changes before uploading your final revisions to the Assignment 2 submission button (click “Submit Assignment” above).

Can you do a thematic analysis of a project that was not completed by a previous Professor? You will be responsible for the RESULTS, ANALYSIS, DISCUSSION, CODING FRAMEWORK IN THE APPENDIX. The structure to follow is outlined in the document I will send when you accept the bid, and all you have to do is the follow the EXACT SAME STRUCTURE of that document, so it should be pretty simple. But you will have to demonstrate the thematic analysis from a sample of 4 documents per 2 result sections. What I have attached below, is the failed project from a previous Professor on this website. The entire result section onwards needs to be rewritten. I will handle the introduction, method, and theoretical framework. THE DUE DATE IS TOMORROW AT NOON. Suggested structure: 1) As you will see in a document I will send you in the next message, the result section of the thematic analysis has at least 5 example quotes taken from the journalistic articles that were chosen and she has analysed each of them in the result section. Does this make sense? The result section that the last Professor has sent is miniscule, and does not take sample quotes from the articles that you have coded? I need you to explicate how the codes reveal themselves through these example quotes Choose at least 4 examples of the Indian perspective, and 4 examples of the Kashmir perspective, from each of the sample sentences or paragraphs from any of the samples, . This will take at least 1000 words 2) Redo the result section and data without ANY academic scholarly articles in the samples, elaborate on the smaller sample size, but change the mention of scholarly articles throughout the document, as well as the appendix, as this disqualifies the paper. 3) Please, separate the results and the samples into two parts, as I have asked you to do repeatedly. There needs to be a section from the 1) Kashmir perspective, with the samples that are sympathetic to the Kashmir freedom cause, and an 3) Indian perspective, that is sympathetic to India. You can choose 4 sample pieces of text to analyse within the result section for EACH section. 4) Do you know which news sources and articles you have chosen are sympathetic to the pro-India perspective, and the Kashmir freedom perspective? Both of these are very different, and must be analysed separately. Please do not have the table mix them together, please let me know if you need me to separate them. This may go up to 2000 words, so I will pay an extra 100 for your efforts when you are done, if this is done correctly, as well as provide a 10-star review. Please let me know if this is okay with you. What else do you need? Results & Analysis (use the samples mentioned in the appendix) RESULTS 1: Indian Perspective Quote 1 “..” (please choose insightful quotes that reveal something interesting that corresponds to the theories from the framework! Additionally, the the part of the quote that corresponds to the theory must be highlighted). Show awareness of the political position of the news source used, and the ownership of the sources, and what this position may imply for the analysis. Your analysis can be only a few paragraphs with reference to the codes, and what they may indicate Quote 2: “…” Analysis of a few paragraphs with reference to the codes (show if there’s any divergence from the first quote, and evaluate if it adequately matches the theoretical framework Quote 3 (choose an advocacy organisation this time) “…” Demonstrating awareness that it is a different data source, show the divergence in language Quote 4 (choose either advocacy or news source, but different news source to show variation) Show awareness that it’s a different news source. Suggested structure: 1) As you can see in this document, the result section of the thematic analysis has at least 5 example quotes taken from the journalistic articles she chose and she has analysed each of them in the result section. Does this make sense? The result section you have sent is miniscule, and does not take sample quotes from the articles that you have coded? There needs to be a section from the 1) Kashmir perspective, with the samples that are sympathetic to the Kashmir I will be available online to support throughout, this will be a very tight timeframe, but we will work together!
What are some challenges mentioned in the reading that you have either experienced first-hand or witnessed among first-level supervisors in your organization? What steps have you taken to address these challenges?
Revise this memo about the Combined Federal Campaign to be reader-centered. Copy and paste your revision into a reply to this prompt by 11:59 p.m. ET Saturday, then discuss with at least two of your classmates why the original memo was ineffective. This is an example of a “pro forma” memo. The writer simply pulled last year’s Legal Office-approved version from the files, updated the basic information, and sent it to all recipients. The memo met a legal requirement (no fund-raising activities can proceed without an announcement such as this). However, employees were upset because this was the year that the United Way scandal broke and The Washington Post reported that more than 90 percent of the funds collected during that charity drive had gone to DC executives of United Fund. Why are your modifications better?
Review this exchange between the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense and the U.S. Secretary of the Air Force. This is an historic exchange that introduces the first attempt by the military to address sexual harassment across the military. Activity: Comment on your perception of the two letters in light of this context: Please consider the structure of the American government (legislative, judicial, and executive). What important role does that structure play in the direction given in the first letter and how is that guidance changed in the response? Further, what is the importance of the Air Force addition of the tasking regarding discrimination? What have you learned from reading the two letters with the addition of this reading the analysis? What role does strategy play in such managerial writing?
